Features:

  • Import customers and fields from Saleforce CRM to Cohort

  • Export customers and properties from Cohort to Salesforce (only if import is activated)

Installation

  • Contact your Salesforce administrator to create a Salesforce user for Cohort with the following permissions

    • Read access to the Object containing your customers, and the fields you want to import

    • Write access to the Object containing your customers (only if you want to export customers)

  • On your Cohort dashboard menu (top-right), click on Apps and select the Salesforce App

  • Click on Connect to start the connection process

  • Follow the instructions in the pop-up to login and connect your Salesforce instance with the user created for the Cohort app.

Import Users from Salesforce CRM to Cohort

The Salesforce application allows you to import Users and/or fields from Salesforce CRM into Cohort

  • Activate the Enable user import toggle

  • Select the Object that contains your customers in Salesforce

  • Select the Field that contains the email address of the customer in this Object

  • Select which customers you would like to import

    • All Users: All of your customers in Salesforce will be imported to Cohort

    • Users that already exist in Cohort: New users will not be created in Cohort, this will just add new User Properties on users that already exist in Cohort. Email address will be used to match customers in Cohort and Salesforce.

  • Select which Fields from Salesforce you would like to import into Cohort. A User Property will be created and synchronized automatically for each field you select.

Export Users from Cohort to Salesforce CRM

The Salesforce application allows you to export Users and/or fields from Cohort into Salesforce CRM. User Import must be activated, it is not possible to export without import.

  • Contact your Salesforce Administrator to create a Field on your Customer Object in Salesforce which will contain the Cohort User ID of type String, and for every User property you would like to export.

  • Activate the Enable user export toggle

  • Select the Field in which the Cohort User ID must be stored.

  • Select which customers you would like to export

    • All Users: All of your customers in Cohort will be exported to Salesforce. They will be created if they do not exist

    • Users that already exist in Salesforce: New users will not be created in Salesforce, this will just add new User Properties on users that already exist in Salesforce. Email address will be used to match customers in Cohort and Salesforce.

  • Select which User Properties from Cohort you would like to export into Salesforce and map them to the proper Field
