Create a Perk

A Perk is an exclusive reward that you can distribute to your customers in order to give them access to tangible benefits.

Create a Perk

  1. Go on Rewards section in the Admin interface

  2. Select Perks in the top left corner

  3. Click + Create Perk in the top right corner

  4. Select a type of Perk

  5. Define the internal title of your perk (it won’t be visible to your users)

  6. Click Create

💡 Note: In case you want to continue the perk creation later, you can click Save in the bottom right corner, which saves all the changes you’ve made so far.

  1. Select the language of your Perk by clicking + Add and Select

  2. In Public Appearance section, enter the information below:

    1. In Title, type a title for the perk, it will be visible to your users.

    2. (Optional)In Description, enter a text that describes the reward for your users.

    3. In Visual, choose if you want text only, an image or a video.

    4. If you choose to add :

      1. A banner image : Click upload, or drag and drop your file. Format: JPG, PNG or SVG, landscape ratio (16:9), 1280x729 px or bigger and 20MB or smaller.

        1. In Crop image, click on the image and move it until you are satisfied with how it’s cropped

        2. Then click Save Banner

      2. A video : click upload, or drag and drop your file. Format : MP4 or MOV, landscape ratio (16:9)

💡 Note: You will see on the right corner a preview in real time of what you enter. If you click on Open preview, you will see a preview of the perk card customized.

  1. In Access Mode section, click on the circle if you want to limit a perk per user

  2. (Optional) In Private Content section, enter the information below (Only users who have earned the perk will see this content):

    1. In Private Content, enter a text that describes the reward for your users.

    2. In Private File, upload a Video or PDF file that will be the visual representation of the reward, which your customers will have access to in their experience space.

  3. In Integration section, select if you want to use an integration. If yes, you will have several choices, depending on the type of perk you chose:

    1. Cohort Form: It’s a basic form that you can use to collect data

      1. In Description of the form, give your users some context about the form and its purpose.

      2. In Form Questions, click + New question in the bottom right corner to add a question

        1. In Type, choose the type of answer that you are waiting for

          1. If you choose Dropdown, go to select options and click + Add an option and then write it.

        2. In Question, write the question you want to ask.

        3. In Mandatory question, click on the circle if you want the question to be mandatory

        4. In Sync to a user property, click on the circle if you want the answer to be saved in a user property

        5. (Optional)In Reference ID, enter an ID if you want.

      3. Then click on Add in the bottom right corner

    2. TypeForm: For more customization options, you can link your TypeForm

      1. In connection, click + Create Connection

      2. Then click Connect and you will be redirected to your TypeForm account

      3. In Select the form to use, click Select and then choose the TypeForm you want

    3. Shopify: You can create automated discounts on your Shopify store

      1. Click + Create Connection

      2. Then write your Shop ID

      3. Click Connect

    4. QR Code: Add a QR Code that can be verified in real-life events with QR Code Reader configured in Cohort

      1. In Perk validity, select the number of times the QR Code can be used.

        1. In Custom, go to max number of scans and enter your chosen maximum number.

    5. Discord: Give access to a private Discord channel

      1. Click + Create Connection

      2. Then click Connect and you will be redirected to your Discord account

    6. Instagram: Add users to your Close Friends List on Instagram

      1. Click + Create connection

      2. Then click Connect and enter your login credentials

  4. (Optional) In Advanced Options section, you can associate metadata with your perk to facilitate developer integrations. Go to Metadata and write the key and value.

  5. Click Publish. The created reward is available for your users. The reward status is Published.
