Shopify
The Cohort Shopify app lets merchant integrate Cohort seamlessly with their Shopify shop.
Currently provided features are:
User sync
Copy Shopify customers to Cohort users
Copy Cohort users to Shopify customers
Discount perk
Grant an exclusive discount code for users
Embedded space page
Integrate the experience space into the Shopify website
Disclaimer: resources created by the app (like discounts and customer segments) should not be manually edited under the risk of breaking the integrations.
Installation
Connection between Shopify and Cohort must be done throught the admin page.
Go to Settings > Apps > Shopify.
Enter your ShopId and click on Connect to start the authorization flow.
The user performing the authorization must have enough permissions to do so. If you have any problems please contact our support.
Once the connection is made all the features are enabled.
User Syncs
You can setup the users sync from the connections page.
Import users syncs all your Shopify Customers as Cohorts users.
Export users sync your Cohort users as Shopify Customers.
In the demo below we:
create a user on Cohort
create a customer on Shopify
activate the User sync
check the synced users
note that it might take some time for the sync to take effect
Perks
Discount
Provide a Shopify Discount code to users owning the perk.
Configuration
Select the Shopify Integration on the perks settings page.
Setup the discount name, the discount type and value.
In the demo below we:
create a shopify discount perk
send it to a user via an airdrop
check the created discount on Shopify
Perk usage
An exclusive discount code is created for the user. When an order using the discount code is made the perk is tagged as used.
Embedded Experience Space
You can easily embed the experience space into your Shopify website.
Authentication is forwarded from Shopify to Cohort.
